بالصور: كيف تحولت ساحة "بيغ بن" إلى مقبرة لسترات النجاة

أنشأ ناشطون في لندن ما وصف بـ”مقبرة سترات النجاة” في ميدان البرلمان للاحتجاج على أزمة اللاجئين في أوروبا. وتشمل 2500 سترة نجاة منظمة في صفوف أمام ساحة بيغ بن ومقر البرلمان. وذلك قبيل قمة الأمم المتحدة للهجرة التي عقدت يوم الإثنين 19 سبتمبر/أيلول 2016 في نيويورك.

قبيل قمة الأمم المتحدة للهجرة المقرر في مدينة نيويورك، وضع ناشطون في لندن الآلاف من سترات النجاة في ميدان البرلمان للاحتجاج على أزمة اللاجئين في أوروبا.

وأشارت المنظمة في تقريرها السنوي بشأن الهجرة العالمية، إلى أن عدد طالبي اللجوء تضاعف في عام 2015 إلى 1.65 مليون شخص.

ورفعت أزمة اللاجئين التي أججها النزاع في سوريا، عدد طالبي حق اللجوء السياسي على مستوى العالم إلى مستوى قياسي لم يشهده العالم منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية. وقالت منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية، إن هذه الأزمة زادت العدد الكلي لتدفقات المهاجرين.

وقالت نقلاً عن أرقام من مفوضية الأمم المتحدة العليا لشؤون اللاجئين، إن واحداً من كل أربعة من طالبي حق اللجوء جاء من سوريا. ويطلب نحو 75 بالمئة من المهاجرين اللجوء إلى دول الاتحاد الأوروبي وتتصدر ألمانيا الدول المرغوبة للاجئين
